 XR1 Mainboard Standard

In an effort to create a standard baseline for the XR-1’s electronic hardware we have designed a series or circuit boards that will be used to reduce the wiring complexity and support the power distribution to other hardware used within the robot.  We also wanted to use standard controllers within the robot so this main board supports sockets for two Mega Pro Mini’s  with 3 serial ports and 1 I2C port on each Mega and all the servo ports that are needed.

 XR1 Mainboard Feedback (edition)

Introducing the XR1 MB Feedback, the enhanced iteration of the XR1 mainboard designed to cater to your evolving needs. If you found the XR1 mainboard impressive but desire more functionality and versatility, then the XR1 MB Feedback is precisely what you've been looking for. Building upon the solid foundation of its predecessor, this upgraded version incorporates servo feedback pins and ADC easy access, empowering you to seamlessly integrate additional features into your projects with utmost convenience.

One of the key enhancements in the XR1 MB Feedback is the inclusion of servo feedback pins, a feature requested by several members of our community. These pins enable precise monitoring and control of servo movements, opening up new possibilities for advanced robotics applications and ensuring smoother operation of your projects. Additionally, the enhanced ADC easy access facilitates seamless analog-to-digital conversion, providing greater flexibility in interfacing with various sensors and peripherals.

Better Power Managment

The robot will support being tethered to a 12v power supply or our battery power distribution system which will connect to the main board through a XT-60 plug.  But because the robot has other voltage needs two UBEC will be connected to source 12V to provide 5V and 6V along with the 12v the robots other hardware PC, head and hands.

More Servo Control

The board supports the large high power 150kg servo’s with 12v it also supports standard 6v servos at the needed current levels.
